The price to beat, by filament type
A Black Friday filament deal is only a deal if it beats what a kilogram already costs. These are the cheapest confirmed prices right now, both for one spool and for 10 kg with every bulk tier and coupon applied. If a sale price isn't below these, you're paying a normal price with a sale banner on it.

- Anycubic: Bulk filament was reported as low as about $8.49/kg during Black Friday week. Source
- Bambu Lab: Ran from October 28 to December 5. The sale centred on printers and accessories; forum users noted no new filament-specific discount, and newsletter subscribers got a $20 coupon for filament and accessories. Source
- SUNLU: Ran from November 10 to December 8. Selected filaments fell to $9.99/kg when bought in bulk, and engineering filaments such as PA12-CF and PC were 15% off. Source
How to spot a real Black Friday filament deal
- Compare price per kilogram, not price per spool. Spools range from 0.5 to 3 kg, and bundles from 3 to 10.
- Use the net weight of the filament, not the shipping weight. A "1.3 kg" listing is often a 1 kg spool plus the reel and box.
- Check the minimum order. The headline price often needs three, six or ten spools.
- Count shipping. A free-shipping threshold can make a slightly dearer store the cheaper one.
- Look for stacking. Bulk tiers and coupon codes sometimes combine, and that's usually where the real lows are.
How these prices are worked out
Every price is divided by the net weight of filament in the pack, not the shipping weight, so a single spool and a 10 kg bundle can be compared on the same scale. Multi-spool tier discounts and minimum-order coupon codes are applied at the quantity you pick, which is why the cheapest option changes as you buy more. When do Black Friday filament sales start?
Earlier than Black Friday itself. Last year Bambu Lab started on October 28 and SUNLU on November 10, and both ran into December. Expect the first 2026 sales from late October.
Is bulk filament worth buying on Black Friday?
Only if you will print it before it absorbs moisture, and only if the per-kilogram price beats what bulk packs already cost. Right now 10 kg of PLA works out to $9.20/kg at the cheapest store we track, so a "deal" above that isn't one. Store PLA and PETG sealed with desiccant and dry the spool if prints turn stringy.

Divide the price by the net weight of filament (not the shipping weight) to get a price per kilogram, check whether it needs a minimum number of spools, and compare it with the tables on this page.
